The ones I encountered were chips on a motherboard. So I guess IT isn’t pure fail but alsa or Ubuntu is Now I’ve spent a good 12 hours reading through Ubuntu forums and google and can’t find a damn solution and Alsa says it supports my sound card “atiixp” I think they’re calling it.
